A decision has been made to scrap Dundee's Carnival 56 music festival, after just one year.

The event debuted in Camperdown Park last August, bringing huge acts like Mark Ronson, Rudimental and The Charlatans to the stage.

A Carnival 56 spokesperson said: “We’d like to thank everyone who supported Carnival 56 in 2017. After much consideration the decision has been taken to not return the festival to Camperdown Park for 2018.

"We are taking a year off to explore the potential future direction of the show and hope to return in full effect in 2019. Until then, thanks to you all.”
