The car of a missing Edinburgh man has been found in Perth.

Guy Bargery was last seen around 9.15am yesterday in the capital's Dundas Street area.

The 60-year old's grey Volvo was discovered near St Madoes in Perth around 2.30pm today.

Guy is described as white, around 5ft 9 and with grey/white hair.

He was last seen wearing a checked green and cream shirt, denim jeans, a beige jacket, and is believed to have been wearing black trainers.

Inspector Stephen Gray said: “We are becoming increasingly concerned for Guy’s wellbeing and safety.

"Extensive searches and enquiries are ongoing in and around the Chapelhill and St Madoes areas to trace him as soon as possible to ensure that he is safe and well.

“The wooded area in Chapelhill is popular with dog walkers and we would urge anyone who has seen Guy there to contact us as soon as possible.

“I would urge anyone with any information that may help us trace Guy is asked to phone Police Scotland on 101, quoting reference number 3443 of 27 January.”
