Liberal Democrat candidate for Dunfermline, Aude Boubaker-Calder was supposed to be at her constituency count in Glenrothes, but is currently giving birth in hospital.

Her husband, Fife councillor James Calder, confirmed to Radio Tay News via email they were currently in the hospital being induced, as she's reaching the 42 week mark.

Aude Boubaker-Calder is standing in the Dunfermline constituency as well as on the regional list seat for the Mid Scotland and Fife region.

She released this following statement:

Lib Dem candidate Aude Boubaker-Calder is disappointed to not be able to make the results of Dunfermline constituency election count on Saturday as she is getting labour induced this weekend.

“I was hoping to be able to be present during the results on Saturday but our little bundle of joy has decided otherwise and I will need to be induced this weekend as I am reaching the 42 weeks milestone.”
