Responders helped an injured climber despite treacherous conditions

Cairngorm Mountain Rescue Team (CMRT) has shared footage showing the extreme weather conditions faced during a dramatic rescue of an injured climber.
The footage, shared on CMRT's social media accounts, shows team members responding to reports of a male who sustained a leg injury in the Grampian Mountains yesterday.
The volunteers were able to self-rescue down to the floor of Coire an t-Sneachda after multiple avalanches were reported in the area.
A post shared by CMRT on Facebook read: “CMRT just back from a call out for an male with a lower leg injury sustained during an avalanche.
"The climbers were able to self rescue down to the coire floor, where they were met by team members and stretchered back to the Cairngorm ski area.
"There were multiple reports of avalanches in Coire an t-Sneachda this afternoon. Many thanks to Cairngorm Mountain for their assistance."
The incident took place after weather warnings for snow were issued across much of Scotland.
'Real world superheroes'
Footage of the daring rescue, which has been viewed more than 140,000 times, has been heavily praised by members of the public.
One Twitter user wrote: "The news is full of stories about the worst of humanity, so it can sometimes be easy to forget just how amazing lots of people are.
"These wonderful people are volunteers. Outstanding."
Another wrote: "Tremendous courage and selflessness, to go out in those conditions to help those in difficulties. Bravo."
A third person commented: "Google. Show me a clip of real world superheroes."
