Appeal for information after bogus workman targets Kinross pensioner
Anyone with information is being urged to contact police
A lady in her 80s has been targeted by a bogus workman in Kinross.
The man went to the door of the elderly woman on Lomond Mews around quarter to 11 on the morning of Friday, 3 February.
He managed to convince the pensioner to let him into the house to use the bathroom, then claimed to be a gardener doing work for a nearby church and other businesses before taking money from her for gardening services which he did not provide.
Police said checks with the church and businesses showed he was not known to them.
