Munich Police confirmed on Wednesday that they found the body of a missing Angus man after weeks of searching.

His family said in a Facebook post that it was that of their 32-year-old relative.

Gareth had been living out in Munich and was last seen leaving a nightclub on the 22nd of February.

Gareth's brother Stuart Hicks released an emotional appeal during the search.

The Lucie Blackman trust assisted the family with the search.

COVID-19 restrictions are now putting pressure on the family to move his body by the 25th of March.

They are looking to raise £10,000 in order to repatriate Gareth's body.

Any remaining funds will be donated to the Lucie Blackman Trust - who assists with the search of missing people abroad.

On Facebook the family are trying to raise money and have issued the following pictures as part of their #BringGarethHome campaign.
