Body found on Ben Nevis during search of missing Dundee woman

The body of a woman has been found during searches on Ben Nevis. Formal identification is yet to take place, but the family of missing Dundee woman Sarah Buick, 24, has been informed.

Sarah was last seen on Tuesday, 22 June, after posting a selfie at the summit of the mountain.

It was captioned: "Good morning from ben nevis!"

The experienced walker, from Dundee, had not been or heard from since the post and officers in Fort William began searching.

Police say there are no suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.
