Bob MacIntyre went into this year's Open with the hopes of a nation on his shoulders. He admits he felt the strain after just squeezing into the weekend on level par.

But the Scot, who's qualified for 10 golfing majors and made the cut every time, now sits 3 under par through 3 rounds at St Andrews Old Course.
