Auchterarder chef Lorna McKnee awarded Michelin star at Glasgow restaurant
Head chef Lorna McNee, of Cail Bruich on Great Western Road, is the first female in the city to be awarded one.

An Auchterarder chef has been awarded Glasgow's first Michelin Star for 18 years.
Great Western Road's Cail Bruich is the recipient of the prestigious award, with head chef Lorna McNee now able to say she's the only female chef in the city to be given one.
The last restaurant in the city to be given a star was Gordon Ramsay's Amaryllis, which shut in 2004.
Lorna has dedicated her recognition to the late-chef Andrew Fairlie, who was her "mentor" and the second, most recent chef in Glasgow to be given star-quality.
She worked as a sous chef at his two-starred restaurant where she started her career, before moving on to Cail Bruich last summer.
She appeared on the BBC’s Great British Menu in 2019 and was named “Champion of Champions”.
She told Radio Tay news: "This is the sort of thing, in my industry, that we strive for. Everyone in my team knows that we work to the highest level and a Michelin Star is something we'd always love to get, so to actually achieve it is extraordinary and emotions are up and down for everyone.
"It's been a very long time since Glasgow saw a Michelin Star. The last one in the city was Gordon Ramsay and the one before that was Andrew Fairlie who was actually my mentor.
"I really wish he was here today to see me win this because I think he'd be very proud of me. The only thing I can wish for is that I've done him proud because I genuinely wouldn't be in the position I'm in today if it wasn't for him and all the help he gave me along the way."
