Man arrested after teenage girl raped in Dundee

Police are thanking the public for assistance after 16-year-old was attacked

Police have made an arrest after a 16-year-old girl was raped in Dundee.

The city was shocked by news of the incident which happened between 1am and 1.30am on Sunday, November 10 in the Cowgate area.

A major appeal for information was launched by officers and they’re confirming that the public has played a key role.

They say a 31-year-old man’s been arrested and charged. He is due to appear at Dundee Sheriff Court on Monday, 18 November, 2024.

Detective Sergeant Shaunni Morris said: “We would like to extend our thanks to the public for their assistance with this enquiry.

“Officers will remain in the area while enquiries continue.”
