Arrest in connection with Dundee rape

A man has been arrested in connection with a rape in Dundee.

Police launched an investigation following an attack on a woman in her 30s in the Morgan Street area of the city at around 2am on March 24.

A 35-year-old man has now been arrested and charged, and is due to appear at Dundee Sheriff Court.

A police spokesman said: Police Scotland can confirm that a 35-year-old man has been charged in connection with the serious sexual assault which happened in the Morgan Street area of Dundee in the early hours of Saturday 24 March.

A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.'
