Police are investigating after a 14-year-old girl was attacked and raped in Arbroath on Monday night.
An 18-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident, which is believed to have happened in the Meadowbank area of Arbroath.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said:
“An 18-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the serious sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl in the Meadowbank area of Arbroath which was reported to police around 9.40pm on Monday, 31 January, 2022.
Enquiries are ongoing.”
