Appeal to trace owner of stolen cows recovered in Angus

Police in Angus are carrying out enquiries into suspected stolen cattle after two cows were recovered near Forfar.
Sergeant Grace Morrison, Angus Community Sergeant who is leading the enquiry said,
“We are trying to trace the owners of these two Limousine-cross heifers, red in colour, as seen in the images provided, that were recovered recently near Forfar.
“We are asking farmers across Scotland to check their livestock and notify local police, by calling 101, of any suspected thefts. We urgently need to trace the owners of these animals.
“Police Scotland recognises that livestock theft can have devastating effects for the farmer and their business. "If every suspected theft is reported to police we will gather vital information to investigate livestock theft and return animals to their rightful owners”. "Checking stock and perimeter fencing regularly, repairing any damage to property and ensuring animals are properly marked will limit the opportunity for theft. If you notice any suspicious activity in your community report it to us."
