Appeal for Information After Rowdy Men Racially Abused Woman on Train

British Transport Police is appealing for information about a group of men who acted in a rowdy manner and also used racially offensive language towards another passenger on a train travelling between Edinburgh and Dundee on Saturday, 21 November 2015.

British Transport Police is appealing for information about a group of men who acted in a rowdy manner and also used racially offensive language towards another passenger on a train travelling between Edinburgh and Dundee on Saturday, 21 November 2015.

The group of six men are reported to have been shouting, swearing and banging the tables on the 22.08 Edinburgh Waverley to Dundee service and a woman who asked them to be quiet during the journey was racially abused. The men alighted from the train when it arrived at Kirkcaldy.

One of the men is described as being about 6 ft in height, medium build, aged in his late teens or 20s with short light brown hair. He was wearing a white t-shirt, green trousers and white training shoes. Another man is described as about 6 ft in height, medium build, aged about 30 years. He had dark, but balding, hair and was wearing a shirt. There is no descriptions of the other men available.

CCTV footage from the train and stations will be reviewed in an attempt to identify those responsible.
