Appeal to identify attempted robbery witnesses in Kinross

A man tried to rob a 79-year-old woman on Saturday, August 26.

One week after an attempted robbery in Kinross, police will return to the scene to identify witnesses.

Officers are looking to trace anyone who was near Station Road at its junction with Douglas Crescent at around 3.30pm on Saturday, 19 August.

A 79-year-old woman was approached by a man, who pushed her to the ground and tried to steal her handbag. The woman managed to keep her bag but suffered minor injuries.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Uniformed officers will be returning to the area between 3pm and 4pm in an attempt to identify witnesses.”

Officers are looking to trace a man who may be able to assist police with enquiries.

He is described as white, in his late teens/early 20s. He may have been travelling in a small white, three door, Ford Fiesta with five spoke alloy wheels, heading in the direction of the M90 motorway
