Appeal to help identify man found dead at footpath

Police investigating the sudden death of a man whose body was found at a footpath are appealing for information to help identify him.

The man was discovered dead at a footpath near to Rosemill Road, Bridgefoot, near Dundee at 8am on Tuesday.

He is described as white, approximately 30 to 40 years old, about five feet six inches tall, of slim build with short dark hair.

When found the man was wearing a blue and grey waterproof jacket, black trousers, black and red walking shoes and had a purple coloured rucksack.

Anyone who recognises the description, or has any information that could help to identify him, is asked to contact Tayside Division on 101.

Police said there are no suspicious circumstances and as with all sudden deaths a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
