An Angus piper says he feels honoured to be asked to play for Michelle Obama.
Craig Weir will welcome the former First Lady to a fundraising dinner in Edinburgh later.
It is expected Mrs Obama will speak about her time at the White House during the evening event organised by The Hunter Foundation (THF).
Speaking about the event, Craig said: "I’m greatly honoured to have been asked to play at this event as I admire the work Michelle Obama has done for charity over the years.
“It’s also a privilege to be asked to play for The Hunter Foundation, which does great work in Scotland.
“I’m very proud to have been involved in this event.”
The 25-year-old schoolteacher first played for a global name in 2012 – when he wrote a tune to welcome the Dalai Lama to Dundee, performing it as part of the city’s official welcome to the spiritual leader.
Since then, the primary school teacher has gone on to play for Arnold Schwarzenegger, Queen, the Bay City Rollers, Sir Billy Connolly, Sir Andy Murray and Lorraine Kelly.
