An Angus man has raised over 30 thousand pounds for a mental health charity after exercising for 38 hours straight.

Ryan Ramsay is recovering from his latest grueling challenge for the charity Reach Across -- a charity he helped found after his brother took his own life.

"Every penny really does go to a huge cause and makes a difference, we're a small charity a big fundraiser like this really helps" he said.

"I definitely didn't expect -- I thought reaching £30,000 would be amazing and a miracle, but we've actually gone past that!"

Ryan kept moving for a total of 38 hours and tells us he didn't just stick to one activity:

"Open water swimming, yoga, Zumba, dance, running, walking, workouts....a jam packed schedule with lots of people getting involved."

"He would have been 30 at the time of this challenge, and although I wish I was 20 or 21 when I was half way through the challenge!" he joked.

"30 was definitely a tough one, in order to stay awake in order to keeping my body fueled for 38 hours it became really difficult, actually."

Ryan Ramsay founded the charity Reach Across.
