Air Victims Recovery At Crash Site
Work is under way to recover the victims of a light aircraft crash at a remote spot. Two adults died when their Piper Cherokee plane went down in Argyll yesterday. Searchers discovered the wreckage last night after radar contact with the aircraft was lost earlier in the day. Specialist officers were at the scene in the Beinn nan Lus area of Glen Kinglass today. Inquiries are continuing into the cause of the accident, which occurred during a flight between Dundee and Tiree. Chief Inspector Fergus Byrne of Police Scotland said: Specialist officers are at the scene and every effort is being made to recover the victims, investigate the circumstances then remove the wreckage of the plane."
However the area is very remote and the crash site extensive and as such it will take a considerable amount of time to complete our work.''
