A9 near Auchterarder open following two vehicle crash

The northbound carriageway was closed for almost two hours

The A9 has reopened northbound of Auchterarder following a two vehicle crash.

Police say they were alerted to the crash at around 3pm.

Traffic Scotland announced the road was reopen just after 5pm.

Three fire appliances attended the scene and crews left after the area was made safe.

Police say there were no reported injuries.

Emergency service response

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 3pm on Thursday, 28 November, 2024, we were called to a report of a two vehicle road crash on the A9, Auchterarder.

"There were no reported injuries.

"One driver will be issued with a conditional offer for a road traffic offence."

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 3.02pm on Thursday, November 27 to reports of a collision involving two cars on the A9 northbound near Auchterarder.

“Operations Control mobilised three fire appliances and firefighters assisted emergency service partners at the scene.

“Four casualties were in the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service and crews left the scene after ensuring the area was made safe.”
