Tyre giant Michelin has announced an investment of £52 million during the next five years to transform it's Dundee site into a stat-of-the-art factory.

The French firm hopes the cash injection will increase production at the Baldovie Road plant by 30%.

The announcement comes after the tyre giant revealed plans to wind down production at the Ballymena site in Northern Ireland.

Dundee isn't the only city set to benefit though, with the Stoke-on-Trent factory receiving investment too. Across both projects, the group will add 100 new jobs to the workforce.
