A 27-year-old man's been arrested in connection with reports of someone carrying a gun in Dundee.

Firearm officers were called to Gleneagles Road last night.

Police say no gun has been found yet and inquiries are continuing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 6.45 pm on Thursday, 2 July, 2020, police were called after a report that a man had allegedly been in possession of what was believed to be a firearm in Gleneagles Road, Dundee.

"Officers, including firearms officers, attended and a search of the area was made. A 27 year old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and enquiries are continuing."
