Boy, 14, struck by stolen car during Dundee hit and run

Police are trying to trace the driver after seizing the Vauxhall Antara

Police are investigating a hit and run involving a 14-year-old boy in Dundee.

The teenager was hit by a stolen white Vauxhall Antara on South Road, near the junction with Kirk Street, around 3.15pm on Sunday.

He was taken to Ninewells hospital for treatment and later released.

The car was recovered by officers, who are now trying to trace the driver.

Police appealing for further information

Constable Derek Miller said: “It’s vital we find out who was driving the white Vauxhall Antara at the time of the crash and I’m appealing for anyone with information, or who saw what happened, to come forward.

“I would also ask those with private CCTV or dash cam footage of the South Road area around 3.15pm on Sunday, to please review it and bring anything of significance to our attention.”
