A dozen cases of coronavirus have been confirmed at a Dundee care home.

Five residents and seven members of staff at Pitkerro Care Centre have tested positive for the virus.

Bosses say they are only showing mild symptoms.

A spokesperson said: "In line with Public Health Scotland guidance, we have upgraded the personal protective equipment provided to staff.

"Similarly, we are enforcing isolation and social distancing rules more stringently in the best interests of our residents and staff.

"Our approach is kept constantly under review in partnership with Dundee City Council, Public Health Scotland and the Care Inspectorate."
