Trigger Point viewers complain about 'sound issues' during opening episode
Series two landed on Sunday
It's been years in the making, so it's no surprise fans of Trigger Point were thrilled last night (Sunday 28th January), as the high-octane drama returned for a second series with actress Vicky McClure.
But as the opening episode hit our screens, viewers all had the same complaint just minutes into the show. Taking to social media to vent their frustrations, many complained that the background sound was so high they were struggling to hear the dialogue from the characters.
One wrote on X: 'Anyone else having to turn up the volume to hear what's happening? It makes you jump in the ads. #triggerpoint', with another writing: 'Trigger Point great programme but with background noise and indistinct diction very hard to hear'. (sic)
A third wrote: 'Volume up.....volume down......what did she say?! #triggerpoint', with another saying: 'Why the loud background noise/music over dialogue #TriggerPoint'. (sic)
Another added: 'Recorded Trigger Point -was so looking forward to it. But the sound quality is so poor -really spoiling it 😔. Seems to be a lot of similar messages'. (sic)

Starring Vicky McClure, Nabil Elouaha, Eric Shango, Natalie Simpson and Mark Stanley, series two of Trigger Point kicked off with some pretty intense scenes, as bomb disposal expert Lana Washington continues to come to terms with the tragic loss of her brother.
Episode one sees Lana return from secondment in Estonia, where she'd been training Ukrainian bomb disposal teams. After returning to the UK, Lana is giving a routine talk to security officers when a bomb attack in the heart of London takes over.
Despite the sound issues, many fans of the drama took to social media to praise the opening episode, which ended on a huge cliffhanger.
One wrote: 'I’m waiting for my heartbeat to return to normal 😱', with another writing: 'OOOMG how amazing was the 1st ep 👏🏻👏🏻'. (sic)
Another wrote: 'Absolutely fantastic return - tense doesn’t even begin to describe it. Brilliant acting and storyline', with a fourth writing: 'I was blown away, fabulous first episode, Lana is bloody fabulous'.
Luckily for fans, if you can't wait for the next episode, all eps are available to stream on ITVX and STV Player now.
