When does The Masked Singer start?
The Masked Singer starts on Sunday 1st January at 6.30pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
Speaking about having a duo on the show for the first time, judge Davina McCall said: "It's funny because you'd think, 'Oh. Well, there's two of them. If they're a duo, then it's easier to guess'. But I've been looking at them thinking, 'You're not a couple', but then they might be acting like they are a couple."
Jonathan Ross also spoke about the new series, revealing he thinks the standard is very high. He said: "I think they've all been good. We've had good names in every show. Sometimes it's a good name because it's someone you really wouldn't expect to do it and they win the crowd over. I still think very fondly of Michael Owen as Donuts, and then when we've had people like Charlotte Church and Joss Stone, real kind of world class singers with huge careers, and Katherine Jenkins who can really sing."
Singer Rita Ora is also back on the panel, and it sounds like this year's characters give some serious performances. She said: "I think the characters I’m really drawn towards are Jellyfish and Rhino. And some of them really make me laugh, like Otter. Those three are the ones that stand out most to me."
Despite being incredibly busy right now, comedian Mo Gilligan is once again back on the panel, saying about the show: "I think it's the fun and the spontaneity of the show. Every time you do it, it's different, it's new, it's exciting. You never know what you're going to get. I think that's the coolest thing."
The Masked Singer will begin on ITV1 on New Year's Day.
