Dancing On Ice bosses have been announcing celebrities thick and fast over the last two weeks, and now the line-up is complete as Hollyoaks actress Stephanie Waring has become the twelfth name announced for the show.
Stephanie, who plays Cindy Cunningham in the Channel 4 soap, has landed the role ahead of her co-stars Anna Passey (Sienna Blake) and Sarah Jayne Dunn (Mandy Richardson), who were reportedly both interested in appearing on the show.
Sharing the news to their official Twitter account, Dancing On Ice bosses shared a short video of Stephanie and wrote, 'Things are really going to start hotting up. No, wait, cooling down! Our final contestant for #DancingOnIce 2018 is @Steph_Waring ❄️'.
Hollyoaks were also quick to express their excitement at Stephanie's latest role. Sharing the actress a good luck message, they wrote, 'Hope your lifts are improving, @StephWaring… 😉 #DancingOnIce. Best of luck from all your #Hollyoaks family.'
Speaking about her appointment on the show, Stephanie said, "I’m super excited to be selected or the show... I’m very nervous, it’s just so much to take on but I think I'm up for the challenge."
Stephanie first joined Hollyoaks back in 1996 when she took over the role of Cindy Cunningham from Laura Crossley. The actress played the role until 2001, and then it was revealed in 2008 she would be returning on a permanent basis.
Stephanie later left again in 2010 for maternity leave, but returned to soap in March 2011. Stephanie's character Cindy is set to have a busy few months in the soap, with more and more unravelling about her house guest Milo.
As well as Hollyoaks, Stephanie has starred in a number of other TV shows including Holby City, Doctors, The Royal and Coronation Street.
Stephanie joins the already star-studded line-up for Dancing On Ice when it returns to our TV screens in January 2018.
Coronation Street actress Brooke Vincent, Bucks Fizz singer Cheryl Baker, Love Island winner Kem Cetinay, The Great British Bake Off's Candice Brown, rugby ace Max Evans, former X Factor star Jake Quickenden, England cricketer Monty Panesar, news reader Alex Beresford, actress Donna Air, British athlete Perri Shakes-Drayton and Coronation Street Antony Cotton complete the 2018 line-up.
