Strictly The Real Full Monty's tribute to Sarah Harding

During the emotional first episode the line-up were seen discussing their personal reasons for doing the show, with each celebrity explaining that their lives had been affected by cancer.

Blue's Duncan James explained that he was inspired to do the show following Sarah Harding's heartbreaking death in November. Duncan described Sarah as "such a bubbly girl, full of life" before saying: "If I can just help get awareness for one person, I'll do it."

After the first episode aired, Love Island Demi Jones took to social media to share that she was completely free from cancer. Demi, 23, who starred on the 2020 series of ITV’s Love Island, was diagnosed with thyroid cancer back in May.

Sharing her happy news with her fans on Instagram, sharing a photo of herself outside Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth, she wrote: ‘I’M CANCER FREE!!!! I did it! 🥺🎉 I got my full body scan results back and there’s not a single cancer cell left in my body 🙌 it’s been such a difficult year mentally and physically for me with my surgeries and treatment but I’m beyond grateful for everyone’s kindness and support over this past year 🙏

The Real Full Monty continues Tuesday 14th December 2021 at 9pm.
