Race Across the World fans gutted to see beloved pair eliminated
Sharon and Brydie are the first to be eliminated!
We are now three episodes in to the brand new series of hit BBC show Race Across the World, as this year's adventurous pairs attempt to reach the finish line in Lombok, an idyllic Indonesian island paradise.
Whilst the competition heats up, the third episode on Wednesday 24th April saw the first elimination of series four, with mother-and-daughter duo Sharon and Brydie losing their place in the competition.
Unfortunately for 52-year-old Sharon and 25-year-old Brydie, the other pairs in the competition, Alfie and Owen, Betty and James, Eugenie and Isabel, and Stephen and Viv, all reached the latest checkpoint in Cambodia's capital Phnom Penh first, meaning they were eliminated.
After watching the episode, viewers of the show were quick to express their disappointment of Sharon and Brydie's exit, with many praising them for their efforts.
One wrote on X: 'NOT SHARON AND BRYDIE 😭😭😭😭', with another adding: 'Gutted for Brydie and Sharon 😭 #RaceAcrossTheWorld they had the spirit of the show in their hearts but just no real skills on how to win a race lmao I loved them'. (sic)
A third wrote: 'Would have happily exchanged brydie and Sharon for the other two #RaceAcrossTheWorld', with a fourth adding: 'What a thrilling race that was!! Sorry to see Sharon & Brydie eliminated. It was a close race to Cambodian checkpoint. Loving watching #RaceAcrossTheWorld'. (sic)
Another disappointed fan then said: 'Bridie & Sharon are the kind of people i would love to meet on holiday. #RaceAcrossTheWorld'. (sic)
