The brand new series of MAFS Australia has landed 👰
Series 9 has arrived!
There's no denying the fact Married At First Sight Australia had reality TV fans hooked during lockdown in 2021, so you can imagine the sheer excitement at the prospect of a brand new series!
Well, just weeks after the UK version of the show revealed the series will be extended, the brand new series of the Aussie version has landed!
When is Married At First Sight Australia on TV?
Series nine of MAFS Australia will hit our screens on Monday 21st February at 7.30pm on E4.
E4 viewers will have also noticed promotional ads popping up on TV, and now they've also confirmed the news online.
Sharing the official trailer for series nine, E4 bosses wrote: 'Will they find a soul mate, or a 'no, mate'? Brand new Married at First Sight Australia is coming soon to E4. 💖 🇦🇺 #MAFSAus''. (sic)
Unlike past series of the show, series nine only starting broadcasting in Australia at the end of January, so fans won't have to avoid spoilers like they did for the past two series.
The explosive trailer shows there's going to be some serious drama on the ninth series, which features couples like Tamara Djordjevic and Brent Vitiello, Ella Ding and Mitchell Eynaud, Domenica Calarco and Jack Millar, and Selina Chhaur and Cody Bromley.
Check out which couples are still together from series 7 of MAFS Australia:
Erin Bateman and Bryce Mohr, season two
The couple met way back in season two and are still going strong. The pair prefer to remain out of the spotlight and are happily living together in Melbourne.
Jules Robinson and Cameron Merchant, season six
Oh, Cameron and Jules. From the minute Jules and Cam had their first wedding dance without any music, we had an inkling they were in it for the long haul. And we were right! The pair now have a baby together, who was born in October last year, and tied the knot properly after the show. So, yes - sometimes this wild experiment does work.
Martha Kalifatidis and Michael Brunelli, season six
Martha and Michael were an extremely drama free pair (in comparison to everyone else) so it's no shock that they have actually managed to stay together. They are now living together in Sydney whilst becoming full-time influencers. Oh, and they're engaged so they will be tying the knot for real very soon.
Melissa Rawson and Bryce Ruthven, season eight
Despite Bryce repeatedly putting down Melissa's appearance during the show and more dramatic showdowns than we've had hot dinners - the on-off couple are surprisingly stronger then ever. In fact, they're living together, are officially engaged, have matching tattoos and have just welcomed baby twins.
Meanwhile, after UK bosses started to follow the same format as the Australia series last year, it's now been confirmed the 2022 series will be even longer, with a huge 30 episodes.
MAFS Australia begins on Monday 21st February on E4.
