But after a couple of weeks, Niall set the record straight on his Instagram profile, writing that he'd been struggling with his diagnosis of Asperger Syndrome, 'For far too long I have suffered in silence and not acknowledged a massive fact about my life which going into the villa has led me to finally realise and accept.
'It's not been an easy ride for me to come to terms with this fact but I am glad that I can now accept who I am, and am looking forward to my next chapter,' also thanking the team at ITV and the British public for their support.
However, Niall has now revealed that he has some exciting plans for his next career steps - he's writing a book about his experiences.
According to Metro.co.uk, Niall said that he was writing about "what he's been though," adding that he wants to "put out a positive message" and that if he's able to help one person in a similar situation "that’s great."
The publication also report that he hoped people could learn to "embrace themselves more" as it would help people to "cope better."
We can't wait to read it!
