Love Island's Gabby Allen hits back at racist abuse over relationship with Marcel Somerville
She says she will 'name and shame' if it doesn't stop
Love Island's Gabby Allen has revealed how she has been targeted by vile racists over her relationship with Blazin' Squad's Marcel Somerville, who she met on the reality TV show.
The fitness instructor from Liverpool has revealed on social media some screenshots of the abusive messages she has since leaving the show which finished last week.
Some of the shocking comments included, 'N----r lover', 'No morals dirty b----', and 'You f----g n---r lover commit genocide against your own race u filthy pice of s--t'.
In response to these messages Gabby said, "Right guys so I have been reading through some of the messages I’ve received over the past few weeks and I’m absolutely horrified at the amount of disgusting racial abuse due to mine and Marcel’s relationship.
"It's completely unacceptable and to know that this is still goes on in 2017, it breaks my heart. I’ve grown up in multi-cultural and LGBTQIA environments all my life. To know that this is still a thing, I’m mind blown."
The 25-year-old reality TV star went on to say that she hopes this doesn't continue, but if it does she will "publicly name and shame every single one of you".
Gabby and Marcel were one of four couples in the final of Love Island which finished last week. Kem Cetinay and Amber Davies won the show taking home £25,000 each, after they opted to share the £50,000 prize fund.
Like most couples in the final, Marcel and Gabby certainly didn't have an easy ride. Viewers of the show were convinced throughout that Gabby was using Marcel in an attempt to win the show because she knew how popular he was with viewers.
Things then took a turn for the worst when Gabby failed her questions in the lie detector test, including 'do you love Marcel?'. She then broke down to the rapper and admitted she said 'no' because she had been planning on telling him properly.
Since leaving the show Gabby and Marcel are still very much together and have been spending a lot of time with one another, taking part in interviews and photoshoots.
