John Lewis 'release teaser and air date' of their 2019 Christmas advert 🎄
We can't wait to see it!
The Christmas season is well and truly under way - whether you love it or are a bit of a Scrooge. With Strictly Come Dancing over halfway through, this often signals to many UK residents that the festive season is nearly upon us.
But a more obvious way to get in the Christmas spirit is by simply watching more TV around November... And that's down to the annual Christmas adverts.
Many of us don't quite know when this unspoken competition between the UK's biggest brands began, but John Lewis have managed to lead the way for Christmas adverts each year - and it looks as though this year's won't disappoint.
After Elton John was the star of the show in last year's clip, showing him growing up from a young boy through the years but always sat at his piano, this year's advert will apparently star a character called Excitable Edgar.
A 10-second clip has been shared on a Twitter account bearing the name, showing a child's hand knocking on a snow-covered door with a funny-looking creature as the door knocker, with the tweet also confirming that it will be dropping on Thursday (14th Nov) - and many are convinced it's the John Lewis advert.
Fans have taken to the comments and replied to the tweet with excited messages. One wrote, 'OMG!' as another added, 'It's the John Lewis Christmas advert!!' and one other replied, 'Time to man your Twitter @johnlewis it’s coming. I bet you simply cannot wait. So looking forward to this.'
Keep your eyes peeled on Thursday 14th November to see the new Christmas advert!
Scroll through to see all the board games that cause arguments around the family dinner table at Christmas...
Monopoly
Perhaps the most argument-inducing game known to man, Monopoly is practically famous for causing long-term family rifts and even divorces. Watch out for that relative who tries to cheat their way to the top, by slipping a few extra £100 notes into their pocket when nobody is looking. RUDE.

Scrabble
Excuse me, mum, that's not how you spell "frankincense"! During a game of Scrabble, there's always someone in the family who tries to make up fake words or spellings to try and wrangle a few more points. And frankly, it's just not on. If it's not in the dictionary, it's not getting any points, sorry.

Trivial Pursuit
So your cousin has kind of answered their niche Trivial Pursuit question about the which year the Spanish Civil War ended, but their answer isn't as accurate as you would have liked. Do they deserve the piece of pie? You decide that they don't, obviously. Cue shouting and cussing...

Guess Who
Oh the classic game of Guess Who. This two-player character guessing game certainly creates it's fair share of arguments born out of miscommunication between opponents about the description of characters. "SANRDA, I ASKED IF HE HAD A BEARD SO WHY DID YOU SAY NO? THIS IS CLEARLY A BEARD." "That's not a beard, that's stubble!" Awks.

Cluedo
Who doesn't love a bit of murder mystery at Christmas? The main arguments that stem from this game are to do with the rules. What exactly can and can't you do?! Nobody seems to know...
