Jeremy Kyle show suspended from ITV following shock death of guest

The Jeremy Kyle Show is facing suspension from ITV following the recent death of a guest.

The show has been running for over a decade and in that time it's become a fan-favourite for dramatic DNA tests, feuding families and host Jeremy Kyle's no-nonsense approach. But the popular day-time TV series has been put on indefinite hold by ITV bosses after a guest died shortly after filming.

In a statement, ITV revealed that the episode featuring the deceased guest will not be aired.

An ITV spokesperson announced, "Everyone at ITV and The Jeremy Kyle Show is shocked and saddened at the news of the death of a participant in the show a week after the recording of the episode they featured in and our thoughts are with their family and friends.

“ITV will not screen the episode in which they featured."

This morning’s edition of the Jeremy Kyle Show, which was due to be aired at 9.30am, was replaced at short notice with a repeat episode of Dickinson’s Real Deal.

And according to the BBC, bosses at ITV confirmed that both filming and broadcasting were suspended with "immediate effect".

The Jeremy Kyle show first hit our TV screens way back in July 2005, and it's since had 15 series, including a number of celebrity versions with the likes of Jeremy McConnell and Danniella Westbrook.
