Last night's episode of Love Island was always going to be a good one, the annual Lie Detector task took place, with the girls being given the chance to ask their boys some VERY telling questions. And whilst all of the remaining Love Island couples took part, it was perhaps the strongest couples who fell victim to the cruel task, including the nation's sweethearts Jack Fincham and Dani Dyer.

Although Jack passed most questions with flying colours, including "Do you love Dani?" and "Do you see yourself having a family with Dani?", the pen salesman found himself in hot water when the Lie Detector test said he was lying about staying 'faithful' to Dani outside of the villa.

Speaking in the Beach Hut after the task, Dani said, “I’ve been cheated on, I’ve been lied to. I’ve had it all. It doesn’t bring a nice side out in me. Loyalty, it means so much to me.”

Ellie Brown and Charlie Brake

After realising Dr Alex wasn't the right man for her, Geordie girl Ellie coupled up with Chelsea boy Charlie. After dating for a number of weeks in the villa, Charlie asked Ellie to be his girlfriend with a little help from the rest of the boys...

However, just days later, the pair were dumped from the villa in a cruel twist which involved their fellow Islanders deciding their fate.

In the aftermath of the task, Jack and Dani had a disagreement in the garden. Clearly frustrated, Jack said, “It’s just annoying me that you’re now talking about all the negative ones.”

But Dani didn't seem in the mood for forgiveness, adding, “Any girl in the world if they’ve got that question and their boyfriend got it wrong they would be upset.”

We hope these two can work things out! 🤞
