There will be no I’m A Celebrity tonight (29th November) following filming chaos caused by Storm Arwen at Gwrych Castle in Wales. The storm previously saw the weekend shows cancelled (Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th) and the celebs were taken out of camp.

Former I'm A Celebrity contestant Matthew Wright revealed the news on This Morning today (29th November), simply telling Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield: “There will be no show tonight.”

He went on to explain that staff are unable to work safely on site because of the damage.

Bosses were forced to cancel Friday’s live show (Ant and Dec had to pre-record the links earlier in the day) and on Saturday it was revealed that all the celebrity campmates had been removed from the castle for safety precautions and are now isolating so they can go back in.

The campmates returned to the same quarantine conditions before they arrived at the castle for the ITV reality show. They will return to the castle once the whole production is safely re-established.

On Sunday evening, Ant and Dec recorded a video update for fans from their cottage kitchen in Wales.

They said: "Hello and welcome to we’re celebrities and get us in there!"

Dec went on: “I’ve got an update.

"The site was quite badly damaged during the storm and they are in there, working round the clock to try and get it back up and running and up to speed so we can get back on air as quickly as humanly possible.

“But, we don’t know when that’s going to be, just yet.”

They told fans that while they are waiting for news they went on the “coldest walk ever”.

Fans have speculated the series could be cancelled altogether, with one asking on Twitter: 'if the show gets back on air will they keep the show on longer to make up the days lost? It’s barely on 21 days as it is and we are a celeb down and lost 2-3 days already. Show feels pointless this year (sic).'

Another commented: 'I feel like they should axe this series and come back late spring time with an all stars season #ImACeleb.'

It has now been confirmed that I'm A Celebrity will return to our screens on Tuesday 30th November, with a brand new show!
