Hollyoaks viewers have been aware for quite some time that Mercedes McQueen has been struggling with a drug problem and next week her husband Sylver will finally discover the truth.
What will this mean for their marriage? How will Breda McQueen react to the revelation? Will she go out to kill again?
Elsewhere in the village James Nightingale struggles to trust Harry Thompson and it's not long before he's attempting to look through his boyfriend's phone…
Meanwhile Ste Hay wants to start dating again, Nancy Osborne and Sinead Shelby join a book club and Scott Drinkwell goes on a date with Levi Rochester.
Hollyoaks spoilers: Monday 1st July – Friday 5th July 2019
The week begins with Mercedes continuing to secretly struggle with her drug addiction. While the McQueen family prepare to throw Max Owen's birthday party, Mercedes is left feeling nervous about his visit.
From the moment the little one arrives he feels very uncomfortable (at his own party, bless) and it's not long before Mercedes breaks down as it becomes clear Max still feels very unloved.
Swamped with guilt, she heads to the bathroom to take more drugs. Not long after, Mercy begins to make a scene in front of everyone at the party. It soon dawns on Sylver McQueen that his wife is back on drugs.
After a lot of persuasion, Sylver manages to get a confession out of his wife and it's safe to say that he's furious with Mercy. As his anger reaches boiling point, Breda walks in and sees him throwing a chair across the room.
Sylver storms out to the workshop and Breda is quick to follow him. After letting his anger out, by smashing the place up, Sylver finally calms down and opens up to his mum.
During their chat, Sylver opens up about his murderous past and admits he feels disgusted with himself for taking another man's life.
Meanwhile, following all the drama Mercedes heads over to The Loft and asks Liam Dononan for more drugs. Soon after, he comforts her…
Breda then confronts Mercedes and it looks like she manages to get through to her because Mercy tries to prove to her husband that she can be a good wife and mum.
Elsewhere in the village, James loses his mind as he struggles to find a way to get Harry off for the hit and run charge (that Mercedes and Liam are actually guilty of).
Harry tells his boyfriend that he'll find Sadie and finally get his alibi. However James later spots Harry alone in the village and jumps to the assumption that he lied about finding Sadie…
As James struggles to trust Harry, he tries to secretly tries to unlock his boyfriend's phone to see what he's been up to.
Marnie Nightingale tries to persuade James to stop being suspicious but will he listen?
Tony Hutchinson continues to try and get through to Ste Hay and asks Harry if he can have a chat with him and hopefully help him out.
However after James asks Sami Maalik for a second opinion on Harry's case, he ends up overhearing his boyfriend and Ste talking outside…
Driven insane with suspicion, James has had enough and storms over to Ste's house and tells him to keep away from Harry.
Following his rage, James admits to Harry that he's struggling to trust him, especially considering how dishonest he has been in the past.
After catching up with Harry, it dawns on Ste how lonely he feels and reveals to Jonny Baxter that he misses having a boyfriend. Jonny assures him he'll set him up with someone.
Sinead has had a tough few months but Nancy Osborne decides to step in and cheer her up with a girl's only book club. Sinead isn't too keen on the idea but later on in the week she has a change of heart and gets very into it, so much so that she slams Jane Austen for her sexiest values.
Meanwhile, Scott has a date with Levi and it kicks off with an awkward start. Scott is also very reluctant to tell his date that he's a drag queen, especially considering Levi's feelings about it.
It's not long before the topic of drag queens comes up in conversation and Levi tells Scott that he's not a fan of drag acts. Nana McQueen urges Scott to tell the truth - but will he?
Lastly, The Hutch is up on their profits so Darren Osborne, Kyle Kelly and Tony decide to go out and celebrate. Unfortunately things turn awkward when the 'lads' begin to discuss their former partners and both Darren and Kyle discuss their sexual history with Nancy.
Before any of the drama above happens, here's everything that will happen on Hollyoaks this week...
