Hollyoaks actress reveals she is expecting her first child

We are used to seeing Jennifer Metcalfe's Hollyoaks character go through trauma and heartbreak during her time on the show, but thankfully her real life is more fairy tale as it's been revealed she's expecting her first child with boyfriend Greg Lake.

It's reported that the actress is 'over the moon' to be expecting her first child with former Geordie Shore star Greg, and the pair can't wait to start a family.

Jennifer and Greg have been dating since 2013 after Greg had a brief spell in MTV reality show Geordie Shore back in 2011 starring alongside Gary Beadle and Vicky Pattison. However he later left the show after saying he felt like an 'outsider'.

Fans of the show and Jennifer were quick to express their excitement at the news...

The actress has been involved in some tough storylines on Hollyoaks, including the emotional stillbirth of her son Gabriel.

The 34-year-old broke down in tears on set during the heartbreaking story line and at the time said, “Filming it, I got a lump in my throat and that was it. By the end I was just sat there sobbing."

Back in 2016 Greg was quoted gushing about how much he loves Jennifer and admitted the pair very rarely argue.

Both Jennifer and Greg often share loved up snaps of each other to their social media accounts.

Their new arrival is expected later in the year.
