EastEnders spoilers: Dotty Branning tells Sharon Mitchell the TRUTH

EastEnders is FINALLY returning to our screens and there's drama in store during its first week back.
It all begins with Ian Beale and Dotty Cotton appearing to put the past behind them but things take a turn and it's not long before she tells Sharon the truth - Ian is responsible for Dennis Rickman's death.
Sharon is stunned at the revelation - but will she believe Dotty?
Meanwhile Chantelle Atkins has had enough of her abusive husband Gray Atkins and start researching into a divorce lawyer but it's not long before her catches on...
It's the day of Ben Mitchell's cochlear implant but Callum Highway's mind is preoccupied at work, Ruby Allen battles with the bank over fraudulent charges and Linda Carter and Mick Carter are job hunting.
EastEnders spoilers: Monday 7 - Friday 11 September 2020
The week begins with Ian buzzing that he's at The Queen Vic and the police have concluded their investigation into the boat crash.
However it's not long before Sharon spirals out of control when memories of the boat crash start flooding back. She asks Ian whether anything of Denny's has been returned and he's left feeling terrible that he blindsided her.
On the day of Dotty's court hearing (following her arrest at Ruby's club orchestrated by Ian) she manages to come to an agreement with Ian and he drops his statement.
She agrees to not tell anyone about Denny but after she's constantly riled by Ian, she has a change of heart and storms to The Vic and tells Sharon that Ian is the reason Denny died.
Sharon is shocked and Ian tries to defend himself – but who will Sharon believe?
Elsewhere Kathy Beale accidentally lets slip that there's money problems which piques Peter Beale's interest. Peter is even more concerned when Bobby mentions that the restaurant is being strained with Max Branning not pulling his weight…
Later when Kathy confronts Max, he tells her that he sold his half of the restaurant to Ian so Rainie Branning wouldn't be entitled to 50% in their divorce.
Kathy later warns her son Ian that when Max finds out he's used his money to buy Sharon The Vic he won't be happy…
Elsewhere Chantelle has had enough of her abusive husband and meets with one of Gray's rival law firms.
However she soon learns that having the best divorce lawyer is going to be expensive… And at home Gray installs a tracking app to Chantelle's phone and takes her credit card.
Chantelle meets up with Kheerat Panesar and asks if he can lend her money – she's unaware of his own financial troubles.
The trading standards visit the Panesars to check on Kheerat's affair and Suki Panesear reveals that it was Gray who reported them.
She then tells her her son Kheerat to cut his ties to the Atkins family for good. Later, Kheerat gives Chantelle as much money as he can and she eventually reveals that she's using the money for a divorce.
A taken aback Kheerat promises to help her and soon after they share a moment... However Kheerat's money troubles have just gone from bad to worse.
Chantelle is also completely unaware that Gray spots a pop up advert for divorce lawyers on his laptop… Later when he leaves for work, Chantelle sets her plan in motion to get away with the kids.
On the day of Ben's cochlear implant switch on, Ben plans to present Callum with a key to the Mitchell household.
At work Callum is stunned when he recognises Ben while he searches through CCTV footage from a warehouse job. Callum's boss' target is Danny Hardcastle and he wants to know everyone who was involved in the warehouse – will Callum tell him about Ben?
At the hospital, Ben is left wondering where Callum is – he's unaware that he's trying to stop his boss from enhancing the grainy image of Ben.
Callum arrives just in time to see the switch but it's not long before Ben is upset that his boyfriend is distracted.
Callum then tests Ben and tells him that they're looking into Danny but Ben lies… Later following a disagreement Callum demands the truth – what will Ben do?
Ruby and Martin Fowler are official and try to ignore Kat Moon's snarky comments about their relationship.
Ruby later discovers that someone's stolen her identity. As she battles with the bank over fraudulent charges, she brushes it off to Martin.
Vinny later suggests a way to help Ruby out with her money problems… She later agrees on his plan to claim on insurance.
However she then has a change of heart and tries to call Vinny off but it's too later, he's already breaking into the club…
When Martin spots the burglary he chases Vinny into the Minute Mart but it results in dangerous consequences.
Vinny then calls Jags for help but he ends up arriving with Suki too who demands her son leave…
Over to the Carter household and Linda is working at the Laundrette while Mick is relentlessly job hunting.
When Mick tells Tina Carter he's desperate for work she offers him a job at The Albert but while he's being shown around Kathy is doing the same with Frankie Lewis.
Tina and Kathy battle it out over who they should employee but Mick bows out and lets Frankie have the job. Tina is not impressed.
Linda worries that the money they made from selling the pub won't last forever… Elsewhere Tina gives Frankie a hard time at The Albert but before long she's impressed by her.
Habiba Ahmed and Jags are still secretly dating but when he admits he wants to tell his mum that they're together, they're interrupted by Iqra Ahmed.
Jags is left hurt when Habiba manages to hide the truth again.
What happened during the last episodes of EastEnders?
The Carters had been preparing to sell The Vic to Phil Mitchell for weeks but at the last minute Linda had a change of heart following a conversation with Sharon.
The landlady told her hubby that they would not be handing the keys over to Phil... And later she opened up to Sharon about their predicament who decided to join forces with Ian Beale and buy The Vic.
Elsewhere Billy Mitchell and Mitch Baker were at odds over Karen Taylor which resulted in the former giving his girlfriend an ultimatum - pick him or Mick.
Mitch and Karen worried about their son Keegan Baker, the police paid a visit to Ruby's club and Sonia Fowler was left feeling lonely and decided to search for her long lost father.
When is EastEnders on TV?
After filming halted due to Coronavirus and then BBC bosses ran out of episodes in June, EastEnders will finally return to our screens on Monday 7 September.
