He's the longest-serving character on the show

EastEnders may have plenty of distinctive elements that viewers associate with the show, but one of its most recognisable moments is the 'Doof Doof'. To recap, show bosses use the theme tune to create HUGE cliffhangers at the end of the episode in what has now become known as a 'Doof Doof' moment.
But Adam Woodyatt - AKA Ian Beale and Walford's longest-serving resident - has today revealed that he actually HATES those moments, especially when he's involved in them.
Speaking to Phillip Schofield and Rochelle Humes on This Morning earlier today (3rd Dec), Adam spilled the truth of the matter after Rochelle asked, "You’ve been there such a long time, is it still just as exciting to get a good 'Doof Doof' moment?"
To which he shockingly responded, "Oh no I hate them bits. You’ve got to stand there for like four seconds like a lemon. You’d respond normally in the real world. Somebody’s just given you some vital information like 'Cindy’s dead'... you’d say something. Actually trying to stay there for four seconds and not do anything."
