When British teenager Courtney Hadwin auditioned for America's Got Talent recently she admitted she suffered from nerves right from the start, however it clearly didn't show as she went straight through to the semi-finals after getting a Golden Buzzer!
Courtney, who is from Hartlepool, stunned judges when she belted out Otis Redding’s 'Hard to Handle'. She quickly had both the judges and audience captivated by her amazing voice and performance. After her fantastic performance Simon Cowell said, “You were this shy little thing when you came out. Then you sing and you’re like a lion. I mean, genuinely incredible.”
Fellow judge Howie Mandel then told Courtney she wasn't 'from this era', before explaining the story how Janis Joplin was first signed. Howie then went on to say, "I'm Howie Mandel and I can't sign you to a record deal, the only thing I can do for you young lady is give you..." before leaning over the other judges to hit the Golden Buzzer.

Since the video was uploaded yesterday (12th June) it has already had nearly 1 million views and reached number 3 trending on YouTube.
After getting the Golden Buzzer, 13-year-old Courtney will go through to the live rounds of the talent show. She later took to Twitter to say, 'I didn't know what to expect when I auditioned for @AGT but the golden buzzer was more than I ever could have dreamed of. Thank you so much @howiemandel I am so happy and can't thank you enough xx'.
In response to her tweet a number of viewers were quick to leave comments saying, 'A Star is Born!!!', with another saying, 'You came out on stage nervous & shy then turned into a MONSTER....in a good way 😉 SUPER AUDITION!!! Congratulations...well deserved.'
Another viewer said, '100% deserved. Your vocal inflection was raw, but supreme.'
