Fans of the counter terrorism series 24 will be pleased to know that the spin off 24: Legacy starts today (15th February) and to celebrate we have some great facts about the new series directly from the production team.
Developed by the same team as 24, 24: Legacy is filmed in real time following ex-Army Ranger Eric Carter (played by Corey Hawkins) as he tries to stop a large-scale attack on American soil.
Here are 11 facts you probably don't know about the series.
1) 24: Legacy is the first time that CTU National Headquarters has ever been shown on camera.

2) The CTU set for the pilot episode was built on a soundstage at one of the former Pacific Stock Exchange Buildings.
3) The pilot of 24: Legacy was directed by Stephen Hopkins, who directed the pilot of the original series, which you can watch below.
4) After the pilot, the season of 24: Legacy was filmed in Atlanta, Georgia.
5) When shooting on the CTU set, there are 60-80 background actors working on average.
6) CTU was built 20 inches off the ground so they could accommodate the wiring of all the monitors in CTU.
7) There are a total of 90 monitors/screens not including the largest screen on the wall and the 2 large side screens next to it. Each monitor is individually fed with graphics/content.

8) On average, they film two episodes simultaneously, called 'cross-boarding' over the course of 17 days, which allows them to consolidate all of the CTU scenes or exterior scenes into more efficient blocks of days.
9) Coral Peña plays Mariana Stiles, who is the cousin of Edgar Stiles, a fan-favorite CTU Agent from Seasons 4 & 5.

10) Tony Almeida, played by Carlos Bernard, has been in Seasons 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 24: Solitary, and 24: Legacy.
11) Corey Hawkins, who plays Eric Carter, is a graduate of The Juilliard School - a performing arts school in New York City.
