Sometimes being a celebrity isn't 'all that' here are some celebrities who have taken a different career path following their initial fame.
Tom Selleck
Depending on your age you will remember Tom his parts in Magnum PI, Three Men and a Baby or Friends, but these days you'll find him living on his avocado farm in California.

After having a number one single in 1990, Vanilla Ice released some other singles which failed to chart. Now he is a property investor and teaches new investors how to make a profit.
Peter Ostrum
He was a child actor playing Charlie in the original Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory film, as an adult he became a vet.
M.C. Hammer
After his success in the early 90s, M.C. Hammer, real name Stanley Kirk Burrell, has officiated weddings and developed iPad apps.

He found fame with the reality TV series about his then wife and their eight children Jon & Kate Plus 8. Jon is now a DJ with regular gigs in the USA.
Chris Owen
