will.i.am Whisking Leah McFall To New York
They're starting work on her debut album
will.i.am is whisking The Voice runner-up Leah McFall to New York this week to start work on her debut album.
Many viewers of the BBC talent show were flabbergasted on Saturday night when Danny O'Donoghue’s artist Andrea Begley beat bookies favourite Leah to victory in the public vote.
Despite mentor will.i.am proclaiming he was “so sad” following Leah’s “unexplainable” defeat, the 23-year-old from Northern Ireland looks set to have an exciting career ahead of her.
Revealing he was jetting off to New York with Leah, will.i.am told his 8million Twitter followers: “It’s time to focus and build...let's go @leahmcfallmusic...I'm so pumped....me and leah will start next week...#newORIGINALsongs.
“As a matter of fact...let's start in nyc next week...somebody wake up the wizards...let's make magic @leahmcfallmusic”
He added yesterday: “I loved season2 of #theVOICEuk...I had a blast...and I met @leahmcfallmusic...and now I can't wait to work on #newORIGINALsongs...#letGO!!!”

Meanwhile, Andrea, who has penned a deal with Universal Records, says she’s not concerned that last year’s winner Leanne Mitchell has been a commercial flop.
Leanne’s debut album only reached 134 on the UK album chart earlier this month while her debut single ‘Run To You’ failed to dent the Top 40.
Andrea commented: “The only pressure I feel is the pressure I put on myself. I’ve been given an opportunity. I will do what I can with it and put my best into it, and hopefully my best is good enough. I’m willing to put in the work.
“Everyone has their own market and their own audience, and I think there's potential for everybody to be successful with the right work and the right people behind them.”
