The Wanted Cancel February/March 2014 European Tour
The boys blame “unforeseeable changes” to their schedule
The Wanted have axed their upcoming tour of mainland Europe next February and March.
In a statement on their official website, Max, Siva, Jay, Tom and Nathan blamed “unforeseeable changes” in their schedule for the cancellation but confirmed their US, UK & Ireland shows would still go ahead as planned.
The band wrote:
“To all our fans in mainland Europe, we're really sorry but due to some unforeseeable changes in our scheduling, we're having to cancel our European tour dates in February/March.
“Rest assured all tickets are refundable, and we do hope to see you again really soon! The UK, Ireland & US legs of the tour are not affected. Thanks for your ongoing support. Lots of love, The Wanted xx”
The announcement comes just days after Max George left the band’s US tour on Sunday due to family matters in the UK. It’s not known if this issue is linked to the cancellation.
The Wanted’s third album ‘Word of Mouth’ was released last month charting at number nine on the UK chart.
