The singer promotes the new Alton Towers makeover
JLS’s Aston Merrygold has undergone a dramatic makeover to promote the new Alton Towers rollercoaster The Smiler.
The 25-year-old star was given a Joker-like grin to show riders how they will feel on the highly anticipated, stomach-churning theme park attraction.
The usually fresh-faced heartthrob was transformed using prosthetic makeup and special effects to give him a very different and highly scary look!!
Aston commented: "I had a shock when I looked in the mirror for the first time. It was definitely an extreme transformation and shows how intense The Smiler is going to be.
“Alton Towers say the ride is going to 'marmalise' you, making you feel spaced out and mashed up, and judging by the way I look in these images I'd say that is pretty spot on."
"I'm a massive rollercoaster fan and I can't wait to experience the real thing when the ride opens."
The Smiler is due to open to the public in May.
