Other UK acts up for gongs include Calvin Harris, Ed Sheeran, Florence & The Machine and The Who, who have already been unveiled as the lifetime achievement award recipients.
Taylor Swift, Gotye, Carly Rae Jepsen, Beyonce, Maroon 5, Pink and Ne-Yo are amongst the dozens of other big names battling It out for honours.
The winners will be announced at a lavish ceremony in Los Angeles on 10th February. All eligible records nominated had to have been released between 1st October 2011 and 30th September 2012.
Despite being the most successful record of the year Stateside, Taylor Swift’s ‘Red’ was excluded as it came out last month.
