Martin Garrix won't be releasing his collaboration with Ed Sheeran

Sad news for fans 💔

The idea of a Martin Garrix and Ed Sheeran collaboration is pretty amazing, joining together a world-class DJ/producer and songwriter.

Sadly however for fans it looks like the song which Martin has been playing at his gigs won't get released.

The Dutch DJ first played his collaboration with Ed 'Rewind, Repeat It' at Ultra Music Festival in the US in 2015 and then again in 2016. In fact you can listen to it online and as you'd expect it's rather good!

Martin and Ed are signed to different labels and it's causing issues, as Martin explained in a recent interview with a Dutch radio station,

"It’s all label issues and a lot of headaches…it was going to be an official track… but the label delayed the track because they wanted to release other tracks from Ed first."

The delay has been frustrating for both of them, as Martin confirmed,

"I didn’t release a radio single for five to six months, so then you get annoyed. So I don’t think we’re ever going to release the track."

Despite the song not being available to buy you might still be lucky enough to hear it at one of his live sets, here is a recording from last year's Ultra Music Festival.

Individually both Martin Garrix and Ed Sheeran have songs in the chart.

Martin's latest release featuring Dua Lipa 'Scared to be Lonely' is on our playlist along with Ed's former number one single 'Shape of You'.
