Lily Allen Pokes Fun At Robin Thicke In 'Hard Out Here' Video
The returning singer tackles the pop industry head on
Lily Allen has premiered the video to her comeback solo single ‘Hard Out Here’.
Very different from her cover of Keane’s ‘Somewhere Only We Know’ for the John Lewis Christmas advert, the song is a straight-up pop banger that satirises pop culture.
In keeping with the song’s caustic lyrics, the video is equally hard-hitting opening with Lily going under the surgeon’s knife under the advice of her manager to get the ‘perfect body’.
Lily goes on to mock the Twerking phenomenon with booty shaking backing dancers, parody a scene from the Robin Thicke ‘Blurred Lines’ video and suck suggestively on a banana.
Definitely NOT suitable for work, you can check out the highly risqué video over on YouTube here.
Available to download this coming Sunday (17th November), ‘Hard Out Here’ was written by Lily with long-time collaborator Greg Kurstin.
Lily is currently hard at work on her third studio album, which is due to be released in 2014.
