Liam Payne has been promoting the release of his debut solo music video for the last week, so it's no surprise fans were buzzing when it landed online earlier than expected.

Although some fans thought Liam had dropped his new video early, it has now been revealed his 'Strip That Down' visuals were actually leaked onto YouTube without his permission.

Clearly unimpressed, the former One Direction singer took to Twitter to tell his fans, 'Sorry guys someone leaked the video, it will be live again at 7.30pm BST look forward to you seeing it then!'

The eagle-eyed fans who got a glimpse of the video for the short time it was live have expressed their love for it, but were quick to reveal their annoyance that it has been leaked.

Liam has been teasing his 'Strip That Down' video for the past week on his socials. The 23-year-old has shared a number of teaser clips showing off his impressive dance moves.

Just yesterday he told fans to be around at 6.30pm for the official unveiling of the video. Alongside a short teaser clip he wrote, 'Tune in at 6:30pm BST tomorrow to watch the video live on @YouTube!'

Liam released his first debut solo track 'Strip That Down' on May 19th and it reached number 3 in the Official UK Charts.

The track, which features Migos star Quavo and was co-written by Ed Sheeran, shows Liam's style of music in a whole different light to his days in One Direction.

Liam is the last member of One Direction to release solo music since the band started their hiatus in early 2016.

Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Harry Styles have all had music in the charts.
